How to target both Photoshop and Illustrator in one script file?

I'm trying to copy a large amount of text from a Photoshop file and paste it automatically in a Illustrator file. I need to do this in repetition.

I tried #target photoshop -some code- then #target illustrator -some code-, and I set target application to ExtendScript Toolkit. But it doesn't work. ESTK will target the last defined application.

Is there any way to target both Photoshop and Illustrator in one same .jsx file? If not, is there any other method?
