Illustrator CC 2014 Vector Objects Imported into Photoshop CC 2014 not reopening in Illustrator CC 2014

Just today I started to have problems with Photoshop CC 2014 where I was unable to edit smart objects created in Illustrator CC 2014. There is not error that I can see but it just does not open the smart object.

Any reason why this might happen?
