We are trying to print some labels on a plastic tube(Using a third party company). We are supplying the artwork. The gradients on the tube sample, when viewed rather closely, are cutting off abruptly.
We are using the Illustrator Gaussian Blur to get the gradient effects, but as you can see there is no abrupt cutoff on the digital version when viewing the image below, but when you view the photo I have attached of the the tube sample it looks cutoff. The Tube manufacturer says the issue lies with the artwork itself. I have tried everything I can to smooth the gradient out as much as possible but nothing seems to work. Like I said before, it looks perfect on screen, its just when we go to print it gets cutoff.
Do you guys think it is an issue with the printer or the artwork itself? Any ideas on how to have the gradient seamlessly fade in? Help!
