Photoshop CC Smart Guide bug

Photoshop is not displaying the pink "hud" smart guide measurements like in this video: http://ift.tt/1MdGAzT

When I turn on smart guides in photoshop (CC, dunno if cs6 has them too) it only displays the pink lines, i took a screencap to demo it:

I want pixel measurements to display between things like at 1:27 in the above video. But for some reason its not, even with smart guides turned on.

Anyone else having this issue? Is there something I'm missing or is it a known bug?
