Numbering Boxes Over Several Pages

maybe I'm just not searching with the correct terms, but I'm setting up a storyboard document in Indesign, and every box should have a new number. I already have page numbers set up, and they are working fine, but now I am trying to use Paragraph styles to number each box. It works fine on one page, and when I try to make a new one, it just copies the same tags again (1-6). Any ideas?
