How do I convert my .ai file as a .pdf without mystery lines?

After saving my finished product in Illustrator as a pdf, I had some lines (where I colored in an area) that shouldn't be visible. What have I done wrong? See the last character (wizard) the hair and the clothing shows lines that I can't have show up in printing. Im a student so totally new at this! help please! And thank you in advance.
