Do tablets/hybrids work well for professional graphic designers?

I'm a graphic designer and a Mac guy but I need to invest in getting a PC. There's so many laptops/tablets/hybrids out there, and technology is evolving so fast, I just wanted to see if anyone has professional graphic design experience with PCs or is also a Mac person who bought a PC. I know policy for this site is that questions and answers shouldn't be opinionated so if it starts to deviate too far into that territory, as far as recommendations, would someone be able to point me in the direction of where to ask a question like this?
