Changing canvas size in fireworks while having a master page set for multiple pages

I am using Adobe Fireworks for a website mockup and set a master page so that each page will have the same header,nav and footer. The problem is that each page is not going to be the same in size since some pages will have more content than the others. When i try to make another canvas size page a different size i notice that my footer is gone. Does anyone know how i can change canvas sizes for other pages and still keep the content that i have from my master page intact?
