Web Design to Tablet Design

Me and my colleague have just completed designing a very complex web interface. However, we need to move on to design the tablet interface. Is there a way for us to scale down the designs to fit the tablet or do we need to start redesigning the whole interface again based on the tablet size?

Please help!
