Software to easily draw spheres and ellipses

I'm trying to draw nice spheres and hemispheres for astronomy demonstrations. Here's a picture of something I'd like to draw.

I tried using Visio but can't get the perspective current. Is there some software that is easy to use that can draw spheres and ellipses ?
