How to reduce file size of animated GIF?

I'm making an animated GIF web ad (in this post) that needs to be 40KB or under. Unfortunately the one I put together is much larger than that. How can I reduce the file size without losing too much image quality?

Macro Crop VS Manual Crop, Crop position out of image Size

I have been trying to crop my images using Macro. When i do it manually, Upon pressing the crop button, the Crop is positioned in the MIDDLE of the Image size which is alright for me.

I'm Cropping it into a square. The problem is when I choose to crop it with Macro, It returns an image with larger height creating this blank space in my imageI have attached two images, One is with Macro, the prblem.

The other without macro which is what i wish macro to do(Crop position Middle, It's like slicing the excessive image on both side off. Without having to increase the image which leads to blank white space

Trying to Prevent this from happening in Macro Crop

Trying to get this effect using Macro but in image, it'd done manually by clicking the crop image only.

How to design Open E Ɛɛ and add it to a font?

What I'm searching for is an idea for designing this letter (Open E) by combining two existing letters for example. Is that possible? I saw a video for a designer who mixes e and o to make the letter Ə, so I thought maybe the same thing is possible to Open E. (Or how to "broke" E to make it an open e).

Is there a shortcut to double image size in Adobe Illustrator?

I need to double the sizes of many images for retina devices. It takes too long to do it by using a calculator to do the math and manipulating the values in the width/height panel at the top. Is there a one key shortcut to speed this up?

Fill a vector path in Photoshop CS5 without pixelated edges

I've created a smooth path around an image that I'd like to vectorize. Now I'd like to fill that path to make it a solid with smooth edges.

  1. I created a new layer

  2. I selected the path and the new layer

  3. I clicked on "fill path with foreground color" at the bottom of the path window

The path is filled, but the lines are jaggy. What am I missing in order to make the edges smooth and crisp - i.e. vectorized?

How do we call that typographic technique (Text mixed and displayed with various size and tone)? [on hold]

I'm looking on how do we call that technique, and eventually some tools or tips to make something similar.

I have to notice you that the text i want to render isnt a sentence, rather a list of terms or short sentences.

eg: Doors / Windows / Thermic isolation / Carports / etc....

I want them to be mixed and rendered into a square/rectangle with differents size and differents color tones.

Example one enter image description here

I need to do something like this for a friend's advertising brochure. I'm good with photoshop(8 cs2), and i'm also open to a HTML5/CSS3/javascript solution. I have also some basics with Adobe InDesign I know i can photoshop that with some extra efforts, but i do that for free and i'm kinda lazy to work hard on this (It's my idea, my friend didnt asked for this, i just want to try a different layout for his brochure ).

So if you have a tool or a tip, it would be awesome, if not, at least i will then know how we call that typographic technique :)

Thanks in advance

.dds File Loses Color When Viewed in Layers

I have three .dss photo files from a video game that are textures. A lot of the separate maps (diffuse/specular/normal) are on different layers of these photos so I need some layers individually to use them. I'm using these textures in conjunction with Blender 3D.

When the .dss files are not changed they contain color. Viewing one with Blender only showed the Alpha layer, but it was in color. After opening these files in Gimp and proceeding to decompose them (Color > Components > Decompose) to RGBA, all the layers were available. But when viewing the .dss layers individually there was no color and saving them to .png kept the lack of color. How do I keep the color intact when accessing separate layers?
