Cut out the part of a component

I designed a component what is like an sheet, like this one: http://ift.tt/17Md04e

The component dimension is: 1000x1000mm. (30mm thick sheet).

Now need cut out from this sheet a part of size 300x300 mm.

Is possible to do this is sketchup? If yes, could someone tell me how?
