Default stroke width profiles are all bumpy? Uniform stroke width is still smooth

This is what I'm seeing when I try to use the custom stroke width profiles (Width Profile 1, in this case). It didn't use to do this when I used it -- it used to be all smooth! Was there a settings I accidentally hit or something? Not sure what's going on. Any help would be appreciated!
