illustrator :change color preserve transparency?

I'm just using illustrator for the first time. I need it only to trace objects from photoshop image. I created a pattern in PS and I succeed in tracing but i need to change the color of pattern elements and preserve transparency. The file i imported was png of course.

Anyone? Please.
