I got PDF files from one foreign magazine to put translations in our language. First it seemed impossible, cause I couldn't open these files in InDesign to be editable (seemed easier way to receive .INDD files, but it was too much trouble for them). Then I found some Illustrator free scripts to join text and other stuff (cause it was all broken), little more work, but I did it. Now I'm having difficulties with headlines.
Headlines are outlined and can't find font (it will take too much time to go to "What the font" for every page) so I wanted to make new, similar headline BUT the shadow from the past font still sticks on. If I erase it, I erase one part of the photo behind.
Is there any other way to make changes in text without opening these files in illustrator, is this way smart at all?
