disable annoying line-snapping thing in Sketchup 2015

I recently upgraded to Sketchup 2015, and have encountered a new "feature" included with this version that i would much like to disable. Say i'll be trying to connect a line to the outermost point of a circle, as shown below (notice how it is snapped to the Red Axis); enter image description here

but after finishing drawing the line along the red axis from this point... enter image description here

the line doesn't stay connected to this outermost point, and instead, goes to the next point left on the circle, taking this line away from the Red Axis. This nuisance of a feature makes creating such lines impossible.

Another example of this is when a line crosses over the outermost point, as shown below; enter image description here

Once again, you can see that this line is on the Red Axis. When I finish drawing it though, the same as before happens... enter image description here

The line does not conform to the Red, and splits at the middle, connecting to the points left and right of the outermost point on the circle.

The same thing happens with curves. It's quite annoying and as I said, impedes my ability to work in this software.

Is there any way to disable this so that I can get back to work as I did with Sketchup 2014? Thanks!
