What is #Prc unit and how to convert it to byte [on hold]

I need urgent help about #Prc unit. Opacity of image is given as double datatype with #Prc unit. I have to convert this value in byte. I have only found that this is related to percentage. No other detail about it is available.It's value is @Y . Value has six spaces also. Please help me out.

New versions of gradient file of photoshop have opacity in double #Prc unit. It's value is @Y trailed by six spaces. I want to read this value and convert it to Byte with range 0 - 100.
