IOS Design challenge

I'm making an app whereas the first ViewController presented to the user would look a lot better with a completely transparent navigationBar, but the UITableView controller that appears after the user has push animated over can't have a transparent navigationBar, as the tableView scrolls behind the navigationBar and that looks awful.

I wanted to hear your opinions on this and how to solve this?
