How to use the Japanese fonts on my mac?

I've been using font book to browse my fonts. Every once in while I fall in love with Heiti. Everytime I go into illustrator to use that font, I'm always unable to select it from the fonts menu, mostly because all those fonts are in Japanese. What's the easiest way can I select a different language font, and also it's medium or bold family members?

I'm using adobe illustrator CS6. Please and thanks.
