I've been looking through the Java Library and after getting some strange "Not API" errors I decided the libraries might not contain those jar files and only references of the classes so I downloaded the three jar files for Java3D 1.6. My aim is to eventually incorporate 3D design into a Java Application I'm currently working on. The j3d files were not in the plugins resources folder on Eclipse and I'm wondering if I can simply drag the new jar files into them, but the tutorials I've found are not working and most are comprised of adding external jars with some kind of string argument that doesn't look like java to me and doesn't work. Can I simply compile and run? Can eclipse use classes and run off of my built in JRE? Will the jar files be runnable? Normally when you compile from terminal you have to cd directory every time you want to use it. Also can people's computer even run j3d if they don't go through all of this trouble? For a little background information Java 3D is only at pre-build 1.6 and Java Library is at 1.8.
